Let it Snow

Parts of North Carolina received a good amount of snow in the past week.   Amounts ranged from 1 to 6 inches in the Piedmont and over 12 inches in the Mountains.

When it snows, Color Landscapes heads out to clear roads, driveways, parking lots and sidewalks.  One of our crews spent all day Saturday pushing snow and spreading ice melt in Burlington, NC.

Color Landscapes also has a crew working in Asheville, NC that had to come back early due to the snow.    One of our company trucks was left in Asheville over the weekend and got covered in snow.   This is Chris Breedlove, Construction Division Manager, cleaning off his company truck in Asheville.

If more snow falls and you could use our snow pushing services just give us a call!  336-578-9884

A Mackintosh on the Lake family loves their spacious home, but when it comes to entertaining, they like to take it outside. Grilling out with friends is one of their favorite events and in North Carolina our mild climate makes it a nine-month opportunity.

Color Landscapes met with the family and drew up designs based on their dream kitchen…outdoors. Then the family watched it all take shape a few steps from their back door.

Kitchenaid grill

The result is truly an extension of a comfortable home…a spacious hardscape patio, custom pergola and kitchen shelter for rain-or-shine enjoyment. Specially designed outdoor lighting is practical in the cooking area and casts an inviting ambiance throughout.

Tasty entertaining is easier and more relaxed, because guests can gather ’round the Kitchenaid grill or enjoy beverages on a specially designed block sitting wall. ‘No need to run inside for anything, because it’s fully equipped with a Kitchenaid fridge, sink and trash compactor.

From concept to design to construction and final landscaping with new plants, grass and mulch, Chuck and Lisa watched it materialize under one contract.

We’re getting lots of interest in outdoor kitchens. The new paving and construction materials like Belgard blocks make them more affordable to build. Also, folks are just staying in close to home when they entertain these days.

Experts suggest that an outdoor kitchen can significantly increase the value of a home. But with a set-up like this, who wants to sell?
