New Leaf Society Wins Award

Congratulations to the New Leaf Society for winning the Duke Energy Citizenship & Service Award for 2009.   The award was presented at the Alamance Chamber 96th Annual Dinner on January 22nd.   The award was given to the New Leaf Society for their work to help make Burlington beautiful!

Projects for 2009 included the tree plantings on University Drive, tree plantings on Rockwood/O’Nell Drive, and the John A Bailey Fountain.  Color Landscapes is proud to have been able to partner with the New Leaf Society on the tree planting projects.

2010 will be another exciting year for the New Leaf Society!

Green & Growin’ Trade Show

Many Color Landscapes employees are attending events at the Green & Growin’ Trade Show in Greensboro, NC this week.   The event is hosted by the North Carolina Nursery and Landscape Association.  There are 5 days of classes, certification tests and a trade show for the Green Industry.

Ben Roney, the Construction Production Supervisor, is attending a two day class hosted by Belgard.   On the second day Ben will take a test to become ICPI Level One certified.  Color Landscapes is a Belgard Certified Installer so by Ben becoming certified he will be our third employee with this distinguished certification.

Michael Dickey, President, is attending a business course taught by Robert Hayter discussing Optimum Provision Management (OPM).

PD Ross, Residential Sales & Designer, is attending a number of different classes talking about new plant material and new trends within the landscape industry.

Color Landscapes is also installing the Belgard display for the trade show.  This is a great way for us to showcase our hardscaping skills as we partner with Belgard to promote their quality products.
